Wesley International School is located in the city of Malang, East Java. Malang is in the mountains about a 2 hour drive south from Surabaya. Being located in the mountains, the temperature is a pleasant 20 - 35 C year round (70 - 90 F), and there are many beautiful fields and vistas. Malang is considered one of the cleanest and safest cities in Indonesia

	Near Malang there is a wildlife park called Taman Safari. It is noted for it's successful breeding program and large collection of animals roaming in a natural setting.

The population of Malang is now around 1,000,000 many of which are university students. Malang has popular American restaurants like McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, and Wendy’s, as well as English language movie theaters and arcades, and internet cafes. Just a short drive out of town, there are resorts and golf courses. Private tutors can be easily found for music, dance and sports.

While western influences are easy to find, Malang still retains much of its cultural tradition. Local markets are crowded with hawkers and craftsmen, and the sounds from mosques and wedding celebrations are common. Traditional Javanese dancers are also seen frequently, but especially around holidays. They move in unique and mystical ways telling a story as they dance.
	Buddhist and Hindu temples have withstood the challenges of time. Many are quite old and attract tourists from all over the world. Just a couple blocks from Wesley International stands Candi Badut, a famous 9th century Hindu temple.

Wesley International School is located on Jalan Simpang Kwoka 1. The school has a library, a computer lab that is networked, a playing field, and a gymnasium within a secure, enclosed campus. Classrooms are comfortable and the ratio of students to teachers is very favorable to individualized instruction.
