Wesley International School believes that serving other people is both a Christian mandate and a privilege. It is good for the one receiving the service. But as Jesus also said: It is more blessed to give than to receive (Acts 20:35). Because of this our students are stretched as they learn much about their own character as well as the needs of the world. WIS offers a service project class that has included such service as teaching English at a local Indonesian school, painting and light construction projects, and supervised health care at a local home for indigent people. Service trips have gone to the interior of Kalimantan, Madura, and Sumba to do similar types of things.
