Wesley is unique among many of international schools in that it technically has two soccer seasons– futsal (indoor soccer) and 6-on-6 outdoor soccer.
The year is kicked off with futsal. Wesley is the only international school that incorporates futsal in its soccer season. With a smaller indoor playing field and goals, it is fast-paced and footwork-oriented, providing a perfect transition into the season from the lazy and sedentary days of summer.
The second half of the season is outdoor soccer. Due to the low number of students, at Wesley (and IISSAC) outdoor soccer is played with 6 players on half of a professional soccer field. The outdoor season is highlighted by the annual IISSAC soccer tournament.This tournament brings together various international schools around Indonesia to have them compete in a three-day tournament and the tournament also marks the end of the soccer season. Throughout the years, Wesley has been one of the best teams to compete in this tournament.
